Nova Scotia Tourism offers festival and events throughout Nova Scotia the opportunity to receive free exposure to over 1.5 million consumers in the planning and purchasing stages of their trip via an online listing on novascotia.com. Approved festivals and events listings received prior to November 30, 2011 are also guaranteed a printed listing in the 2012 Festival & Events Guide.Festival and Event organizers throughout Nova Scotia have a great potential to increase the exposure of their festival/event to a wider audience that includes travel trade, travel media, and more potential visitors.Your complimentary listing can be submitted any time in advance of the festival/event. The earlier you submit your listing, the greater your opportunity to reach a wider audience who are in the planning and purchasing phases of their vacation. By listing early, you may also receive exposure through other Nova Scotia Tourism marketing channels and upcoming programs to further extend the reach of your festivals/events marketing efforts. (For example: listings received by the end of November 2011 will receive a complimentary listing in the Festival and Events Guide). For your listing to stand out from the crowd and show the best you have, consider maximizing your exposure by taking advantage of additional free marketing tools. Festivals and events can add video, submit photos and/or add a pdf of a brochure.

We also have the opportunity to populate the Winterscapes calendar, the project produced with Saltscapes Magazine. We would like to encourage events to list on our website by November 20th for possible inclusion in the Winterscapes calendar. The calendar will feature the months of January - May 2012 and will be distributed through the regional market. Please note that we can not guarantee a listing in the calendar due to the volume of events during certain dates and the size of the calendar; but it is to their advantage to list early as there is a greater opportunity to reach a wider audience who are in the planning and purchasing phases of their vacation. Festival and Event organizers may also receive exposure through other Nova Scotia Tourism marketing channels and upcoming programs to further extend the reach of your festivals/events marketing efforts.
