ATTENTION: All Bird Watchers!!!

Bird Studies Canada

The Nature Conservancy of Canada and Bird Studies Canada are holding the 3rd Annual Wild for Waterfowl count in the South Shore Important Bird Area – Port Joli Sector, and we would love for you to join us.

The purpose of the count is to collect data on birds using this section of the Important Bird Area and thePort Joli, Port l’Hebert and Sable River Migratory Bird Sanctuaries during this late fall period. We will not restrict ourselves to waterfowl, but they will be our main focus.  All data from our count will be publicly accessible through eBird.ca and will be shared with Migratory Bird Sanctuary managers.  The count will take place on either Saturday November 26th, or Sunday November 27th – depending on the forecast. A decision will be made and communicated to participants by Thursday November 24th.Nature Conservancy Canada is asking people to register online:http://www.natureconservancy.ca/site/Calendar/250617500?view=Detail&id=100682
