A message from the LITF committee:
The Liverpool International Theatre Festival is coming May 16–20, 2012! We’d like to give you a chance to jump to the front of the line for specially discounted tickets!
This will be our eleventh festival, and we want to celebrate by packing this year’s event with more entertainment than ever before. In addition to the usual lineup of outstanding amateur theatre, LITF 2012 will feature activities for youth, fantastic entertainment, and the
return of some of your favourite performers from past festivals. Several other special events and guest appearances are also planned.
On stage, we’re excited to tell you the response to our Call for Applications was tremendous, resulting in submissions to LITF from around the globe. While the lineup hasn’t been finalized yet, it’s definitely going to be an exciting blend of international and local theatre.
We’ve also simplified our ticket prices. Tickets to individual plays (available starting in April) are $18 each, while an all-inclusive subscription
is $180. Each subscription features:
• A ticket to all festival plays, with your own specially reserved seat
• Guaranteed entrance to all Coffee Critiques and workshops
• Free admission to Festival Club
• A ballot to vote on the People’s Choice Award
Starting late November, we’re going to be placing subscriptions on advance sale as part of a Christmas Promotion; until January 31, 2012, subscriptions will be available for only $150.
If you act now, you’ll be able to enjoy this spectacular celebration of theatre from the best seats in the house. Purchase your subscription through the Astor Theatre box office, by phone at (902) 354-5250, or online at www.astortheatre.ns.ca(reserve your seat at time of purchase). The box office will issue you a Christmas promotion ticket that you will trade in for the actual tickets to all the plays once the schedule is finalized.
