Over the past 14 months, a small group of us having been working away on the 10 to 20 Project, the community pride/support local initiative that is a joint initiative of the Region of Queens, the South Queens Chamber of Commerce and the North Queens Board of Trade. In addition to seasonal posters and a regular column in the Advance, we have also helped stage some events in our area.
We are looking for some fresh blood and new ideas and some bodies to help continue our project along. Based on the enthusiasm you have shown we thought that you might be interested in helping spread the word. We need people to help distribute posters and some guest writers for our Advance column.
Would any of you be interested in joining us for a coffee meeting to talk about how to move the project forward and to help it grow to new heights.
Fully appreciating that some of you cannot really leave your business, we are happy to have “coffee-time” at your place. Otherwise, we could meet up at the Collections CafĂ© at the Rossignol Centre, where Liz Brown is serving up her famous lattes and chais!
I’ve attached the latest article from the Advance and a copy of our Spring poster for your info. Don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any questions! I have cc’d Mark Sloan from J&H and Monica Howard from RBC, my co-conspirators in the Project, in case you wanted to approach them as well!
